Community Foundation Network is the UK’s largest independent community charitable grant-maker.

Community Foundation Network (CFN) was chosen by Big Lottery Fund (previously New Opportunities Fund & Community Fund) to manage the Fair Share Trust nationally CFN appointed locally based partners, or Fair Share Trust ‘local agents,’ to deliver the programme locally. They were chosen because of their experience in making grants and local knowledge of and connections with the area.

There are currently 29 Fair Share Trust local agents with responsibility for managing the programme and making grants in 80 Fair Share Trust neighbourhoods. The decision whether or not to fund a project is made by local agents working with local panels, with local agents taking the legal responsibility. CFN does not make Fair Share Trust grant decisions or awards.
