Accountability – who is accountable?

Read on for a brief outline of how Community Foundation Network is accountable for the distribution of the FST funds.

Community Foundation Network (CFN) is the sole Trustee of the Fair Share Trust Deed. This means final responsibility lies with CFN for making sure that all monies are spent in line with the Trust Deed, which is a legally binding document.

CFN’s Board is legally accountable. The Board has delegated responsibility for decision-making on the Fair Share Trust to…

….the Fair Share Trust Committee… which is made up of at least two CFN Board members and co-opted members who have relevant skills, expertise and interest in Fair Share Trust (FST) work. Membership of the FST Committee is agreed by CFN’s Board.

CFN staff report quarterly to the FST Committee, requesting approval for decisions when this is necessary
