What are the Fair Share Trust areas?

Posted on Wed 18 June 2008

The Fair Share Trust areas were identified by the Big Lottery Fund and Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) as those that were suffering from considerable disadvantage and who had received less than their ‘fair share’ of lottery funding in the past.

In most cases, the LSP identified a specific geographical neighbourhood within the FST area to benefit from the funding. FST neighbourhoods can vary in size from single electoral wards to small towns.
