The Community Foundation serving Tyne & Wear and Northumberland helps to build stronger communities by encouraging local giving. We offer a cost-effective way for donors to make a long-term difference to the causes close to their heart. Through understanding of local issues, we make perceptive and well-targeted grants that secure the future for generations to come.

Local priorities
Blyth Valley
- To develop and increase community involvement and engagement.
- To promote healthy living.
Wansbeck
- To add value to existing services for children and young people which compliment the community plan around the themes of life/health, environment, community safety, learning/youth, economic renewal.
- To develop the capacity of the community and organisations to deliver sustainable projects and activities.
