Local priorities

Barking & Dagenham

  1. Creating viable long term activities and opportunities for the young people of the area to become positive active members of the community.
  2. Improved access and achievement in life long learning opportunities for adult members of the community. This is likely to support the overall workforce development.
  3. To promote improved health. This may be through the development of better information, opportunities to eat a healthy diet and to exercise, or other initiatives.
  4. To enable the voluntary sector agencies to work together for better services and more local involvement by promoting the development of local organisations.

Enfield

  1. Encourage an active, healthy, thriving and inclusive community in Ponders End, improving the quality of life and well-being of all residents.
  2. Encourage and support the people of Ponders End to access a wide range of services, resources and information and participate in the local Place-Shaping initiative.
  3. Support joined-up provision of activities for children and young people in Ponders End to enable them to develop into active members of an inclusive society.
  4. Expand the opportunities for life-long learning, training, enterprise and employment to enable local people to develop economic security.

Brent

  1. Residents’ Opportunities: Provide and promote services, resources and support which give residents opportunities for education, learning and training to increase motivation, confidence, skills and employability.
  2. Children, Young People and Families: Provide ‘out of school’ opportunities for children and young people to gain new skills, discipline, divert from anti-social behaviour/crime. Provide holistic support to the family with education, learning and healthy living.
  3. Community Development: Provide resources and support for community development and social enterprise to increase the capacity of community groups working for the benefit of local residents. Enable the local communities of Church End Roundwood to make life better for people of all ages who live there.
  4. Neighbourhood Pride: Promote a sense of neighbourhood pride and raise a positive profile of the neighbourhood through working in partnership with residents, local police and local stakeholders.
