Resilience is a concept used to describe the ability of an area to withstand and respond to shocks in the external environment.

The research looks at resilience across four key themes:

  • Business
  • Community
  • People
  • Place

Local areas have been ranked in terms of their resilience, and the research outlines what factors influence these rankings. CFN have been interested to note that six of the ten least resilient areas are FST areas.
