BIG evaluation of FST - 3rd report

Posted on Fri 04 September 2009

The report notes that key aims of the programme - to build people's confidence and skills (capacity building) and to improve their networks and therefore ability to bring about change (social capital) - are clearly being met:

"Real change is happening. Groups are filled with enthusiasm for the tasks they have taken on, and are more confident in their abilities. They have an enhanced sense of their own worth. They have aspirations to work with others to build on Fair Share [Trust]'s achievements, and many are already doing so. Through Fair Share [Trust], local people are being involved in activities which link them to others."

As with all evaluations, key learning points are also raised, which Community Foundation Network will continue to address with Local Agents.
