Thumbs up for Fair Share Trust

The Big Lottery Fund’s UK-wide Fair Share Trust (FST) scheme seems to be going down well with those involved. Established in 2003, its brief is to target lottery cash at deprived communities in a way that responds to locally-determined priorities. With a 10-year funding span, in which selected areas receive annual allocations from a £50m endowment fund, the programme is unusually long-term.
