In small communities, it is worthwhile taking the necessary action to involve, and consequently gain the support, of the Community Association who may be able to offer valuable advice and ideas and possibly even help with running projects.

Priority: Community Development & Support - to make Little Digmoor a place where people want to live rather than leave.
About
Age Concern project
In such a small community (about 450 houses), it is important when introducing new ideas or projects, to secure the support of the Community Association. This is often done by having the applicant attend a Community Association meeting and talk through their ideas, thereby engaging with the community at an early stage and securing their support. The Age Concern project followed this route and secured not only support and ideas, but help in running some of their projects such as a lunch club for the over 50s.
